Digital Asset today unveiled its market-leading exhibition for Hong Kong FinTech Week 2022 and confirmed its speakers for the event. As a Gold Sponsor, Digital Asset aims to support the region’s vibrant FinTech community and explore Hong Kong's innovative approach to develop more efficient financial infrastructure through the adoption of blockchain technology.
During the five-day conference, Yuval Rooz, Co-Founder and CEO; Shane Akeroyd, President; and Karen Qian, Associate Director at Digital Asset will participate in discussions on the acceleration of financial innovation, including how blockchain and smart contracts are reinventing finance, the impacts of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) on enterprises and consumers, and the growth of enterprise blockchains.
“Hong Kong FinTech Week is a prominent event that brings together senior executives from across financial services to discuss the latest trends impacting the region,” said Shane Akeroyd, President at Digital Asset. “I am looking forward to participating in this year’s event. It is a great opportunity to connect with customers and industry peers in person, and hear first hand about the most pressing challenges affecting market participants."
“We are excited to see how the blockchain conversations take shape at the conference,’ added Akeroyd. “Like many policymakers, regulators and financial institutions in Hong Kong and across the region, we know from experience that blockchain is solving real-world problems. Many of our Asia-based clients are at the forefront of innovation, creating more efficient infrastructure and powering the next wave of growth for the region.”
New frontier of innovation
Digital Asset will leverage Hong Kong FinTech Week to take visitors to a new frontier of innovation. Digital Asset’s exhibition booth will provide participants with an opportunity to explore how the company is accelerating asset tokenization with Daml Finance, a new, open source offering within Daml. Daml Finance provides financial institutions with the tools to accelerate the innovation cycle, shorten time-to-market, and build with proven libraries purpose-built for financial workflows. The libraries can be used to create robust, extensible tokenization solutions across a variety of asset classes. Daml Finance is available via early access in Daml today, and it is already in use with a number of financial institutions and market infrastructures.
At FinTech Week, Digital Asset, in collaboration with the ValueExchange, will also announce the launch of Doing Tokenization Right, a newly-commissioned research report describing the collective capital market experience of deploying digital assets in large quantities. Based on extensive interviews with leading exchanges, depositories, brokers, custodians and service providers, this report showcases the lessons learned by industry-leaders on the role of tokenization in capital markets, as well as explains the path towards a successfully tokenized future.
